2CD set of Miklos Rozsa’s music for the 1961 Hollywood epic El Cid, widely regarded as one of the greatest film scores of all time, a masterpiece of the cine-musical art. This world premiere recording is one of the largest projects ever undertaken to restore a complete score and totals over 140 minutes of music including themes omitted from the film. The 2CD set utilises 91 musicians and a large choir.
